Görlitz is the centre of an up-and-coming region: The town is increasingly benefiting from the elimination of border controls and customs barriers. Since April 2018, the fashion house at Postplatz has been strengthening the attraction of the town centre for an international audience.
The fashion house at Postplatz opened in April 2018 in Görlitz over three levels and with a sales area of around 450 square meters - in the middle of the tri-border region between Germany, the Czech Republic and Poland. The shop is a jewel for Görlitz city centre and a stylish ambience for fashion brands in the premium segment, such as Michael Kors, Luisa Cerano or Drykorn for women or Joop, Boss and Baldessarini for men. Bags and other accessories as well as gift items complete the assortment for sophisticated demands. “We show collections that many would not necessarily have suspected in Görlitz,” says Kristine Zion, responsible for project development, about the concept.
Elegance with concept
Trained style consultants, particularly large changing rooms, excellent service and a modern, small café overlooking one of the most beautiful squares in the city are just a few factors that have made the fashion house at Postplatz a magnet for the town within just a few months. “The first half year confirms our concept. Many customers are happy about this new fashion point of view,” adds Marie Hädrich, who is responsible for the area of inventory management in the company.
This is not least due to a product presentation that makes shopping an experience. “We also want to make it clear that we are proud of our town,” states Stefanie Eggers, responsible for marketing in the fashion house at Postplatz.
But with all sense of beauty and elegance, the three fashion professionals also master the handling of bare numbers and statistics.
“Before the opening of the business, we explored the market for POS and merchandise management systems, because we could not and would not do without the support of an experienced IT partner,” says Kristine Zion.
IT Solutions optimally coordinated
The contact with Höltl Retail Solutions, Bad Hersfeld, came about from a recommendation. “We felt well advised from the beginning. Evaluations are clearly presented and easy to understand. In addition, the IT solutions in the Höltl Suite are optimally coordinated,” says Marie Hädrich.
The Höltl Suite is a compilation of the current Höltl product range. This guarantees a simultaneous and coordinated refresh of all applications. Installation, configuration, customising and the visual appearance (icons, home screen, etc.) of the individual components are also standardised in a Höltl suite. As an administrator of their own system landscape, customers also decide when to update. Höltl makes these available in the cloud.
The most important components of the Höltl solution in the fashion house at Postplatz include a port to financial accounting and planning tools as well as options for customer loyalty measures. Special praise is given to höltl’s voucher solution, which already has more than 55,000 POS stations worldwide. The software solution is so flexible and has such a broad functionality that it can be perfectly customised to the needs of each retail environment. Cutting-edge tools and standards guarantee a maximum of investment security. “Above all else, it's particularly comfortable to use,” summarises Kristine Zion.
